Fletcher P. Lewis,78, of Maplewood, Missouri and formerly of Murphysboro, passed away on September 13, 2015, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Fletcher was born on September 27, 1936, in Murphysboro, Ill. He graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1954.

He was a retired inspector for the City of St. Louis and a member of the 50 Solid Club.

Fletcher was married to Mabel Phillips and she survives.

Other survivors include children Michael, Fletcher and Patricia Lewis, Jeffery (Emily) Russell, and Dorris Skiles; grandchildren Katlyn, Savanah, Clinton and Josha; one sister Fanny Gulley and aunt Ida Lee Michell; and nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Pettett Funeral Home with burial at Tower Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
