Marion was born on September 14, 1938, in Clay County, IA, Waterford Township near Everly, IA, to Herman Archie and Margaret Jennie (Denhartog) Stafford. He spent most of his earlier years in Sac City, IA, graduating from Sac City High School in 1957.
He worked as a farm hand for nine years near Breda then at Breda Auto Company for nine years. The last 27 years he worked at Speed’s Auto Supply in Wall Lake retiring in January of 2004. Marion liked old cars and belonged to SERPACI Car Club in Storm Lake.
Marion never married and is survived by a sister, Evelyn, of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
