Leroy was born at home in Richfield on May 18, 1936, a son of the late Sterl and Dorothy (Neimond) Fisher.
In addition to his wife Ada, Leroy is survived by one daughter, Mechele Fisher and long time friend Raquel Lyter; and one son and daughter-in-law, John and Theresa Fisher, all of Mount Pleasant Mills; two grandsons, Jordan Rebuck and Damian Fisher; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Almeda Fisher, of Millerstown; one nephew, Brett Fisher; and two nieces, Elana Maynard and Valerie Martin.
Leroy was preceded by one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ralph Blett, one niece Cathy Harless and one nephew, Gerard Fisher.
He retired from PennDot, Mifflintown, and was previously employed with Dutch Kerstetter Logging. Leroy also served as a supervisor for Greenwood Twp.
Leroy was a member of the Richfield Ambulance Company, and attended St. Peters Community Church, Millerstown.
He enjoyed farming and raising poultry, hunting, taking fishing trips to Canada, and visiting friends and family on his golf cart with his sidekick “Teddy” his pet dog.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.7, followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., all at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Rt. 35, Mount Pleasant Mills. Officiating will be Pastor Brittin F. Stimeling. Burial will be in the Richfield union Cemetery.
