Flemington Man Dies From Taking Laudanum.
Nelson Faulkner Found Unconscious by Grandchild This Morning.
Nelson Faulkner, a resident of Flemington, died at 10:45 o’clock yesterday morning from the effects of an overdose of laudanum. When a grandchild of the man went to awaken him she discovered that he was breathing heavily and at his bedside was an empty phial, which was labeled “laudanum.” Dr. S. J. McGhee, of Mill Hall, was hurriedly summoned and worked over the prostrate form for some time, but could not restore the man to consciousness and he died at the time stated.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Fred Faulkner, who is employed at Renovo, and one daughter, Mrs. Daniel Knarr, of Flemington.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow.
Deceased was a member of the Harrison Mutual Burial association.
