The following biography is transcribed from the funeral bulletin of Harriet(Tabler) Bergersen:

"Harriet Bergersen was born on February 29, 1916 in Brightview, Alberta, west of Wetaskiwin, the fourth child of Carl and Lydia Tabler. The Tabler family relocated to the Galahad area where Harriet attended school for two years. The family then established permanent residence on the family farm in the Alliance area, where Harriet completed her education in the South Bend School District.

Following her schooling. Harriet was employed in the Dietary Department of the University Hospital for several years.(Note: It was at the University Hospital that her sister-in-law to be worked under her supervision. Her sister-in-law to be was Violet Margaret Stephenson and she referred to her an excellent boss who was very friendly.)She then moved to the Killam area and she was employed by the Rispler's in the Hotel Coffee Shop. It was during this time that Harriet and Art met. After relocating in the Calgary area, where Art was employed on a mink farm and Harriet in Kresge's, they were united in marriage on March 27, 1942. Shortly thereafter they returned to the Killam area establishing their permanent home on their farm north of Killam...

Harriet was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a member of the Killam Baptist Church and gave of herself unselfishly in various capacities.

Harriet was a devote Christian, steadfast in her faith and commitment to her Savior. A very humble person who displayed a very quiet and consistent walk before God. The Lord had blessed Harriet with the gift of hospitality. She loved her family and friends around her and she was happiest when she was entertaining them in her home. Harriet never lost her love for the farm, the livestock, her garden and yard. She felt closer to God in her garden than anywhere else on earth.

Harriet's walk through the valley has been a lengthy one but she never gave evidence of discouragement because she was not walking alone but with her hand always planted firmly in the hand of her beloved Savior. She has fought a courageous fight, come through the fire as pure gold, and was a source of inspiration to her family, friends and medical staff. Her faith never faltered and her fervent desire since Art's death was to be taken home. God answered her prayers and the prayers of family, loved one and friends as she entered into the presence of the Lord on March 5, 1982..."
