Sgt. Mattingly Dies In Michigan
T. Sgt. Paul Edward Mattingly, 39, formerly of here, died suddenly Monday in Marquette, Mich. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Sgt. Mattingly was serving in the Air Force at K.I.Sawyer Air Force Base, Marquette.
Sgt. Mattingly had been in the Air Force 21 years.
Born here, December 14, 1937, he was the son of Mrs. Luella (Specht) Mattingly, 126 Seymour Street, and the late Bernard L. Mattingly.
Sgt. Mattingly was a 1955 graduate of Fort Hill High School and enlisted in the Air Force in September, 1955. He has served at bases in New York, Florida, Guam and Michigan. At Marquette, he was in the personnel office.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Carroll L. Mattingly, Pottstown, Pa., and Robert L. Mattingly, this city.
The Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
