Richard A. Fink, 86, a resident of Gooding, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding.
Richard was born to Alvah and Anna Fink on June 2, 1929 in Oilmont, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; his parents; 1 brother, Robert Fink; and 1 sister, Augusta Myers.
After Thelma’s passing, he decided he needed a change. He sold his ranch and moved closer to his new adopted family. We provided him with a flock of chickens and he took it from there. He spent all his time tending to his flock. It brought him great joy. He enjoyed going on egg runs with us and met new friends along the way.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Horack, of Bakersfield, California; numerous nieces and nephews; his good friends, Vince and Claudia Gibby; and his adopted family, Tim, Kathy and Zach Allen.
He was a very special man and a very good friend. He will be missed - Here’s to you, sir!
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at North Canyon Medical Center. You treated him with respect and compassion – Bless you all!
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
