Billie Rae Grigsby Adkins, age 89, of Azbill Street, London, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She was the mother of Bill Combs of Valdosta, Georgia, Marcia Combs of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Sherri Adkins Rudhlow and Debbie Adkins Syndor both of Corbin, Kentucky, the sister of Wilma Jean Stidham of Nashville, Tennessee and Lewis Grigsby Jr. of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Dennis Combs and Leonard "Len" Combs, Jr., by her first husband, Leonard Combs, by her second husband, John Eugene Adkins, and by her parents, Lewis Grigsby and Margie (Wooten) Edwards. Funeral Services for Billie Rae Grigsby Adkins will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, October 03, 2015 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Billie Rae Grigsby Adkins will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 1:00 PM Saturday, October 03, 2015 until the funeral hour.
