Sergeant Harm was killed aboard U.S. Army Air Corps B-24J Liberator #42-100225 in a weather-related accident in New Guinea. All eleven aboard perished. On that day, Black Sunday, April 16, 1944, the U.S. 5th Air Force lost 37 aircraft to weather incidents. This wreck was located in 2002.
