Sue Ellen Newton After a brave two-month battle with cancer, Sue passed away at her Yerington home on September 30th, Ron, her husband of 62 years and love of her life (whom she met in kindergarten) and her daughter, Roni Fletcher, by her side. She was preceded in death by a second daughter, Cindy deProsse and survived by 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sue was born in Los Angeles on September 25, 1930, to Ray and Lucille Pollard. She was a true American lady, her great, great grandfather having served under George Washington during the Revolutionary war. She spent her childhood in the Southern California area. Upon retirement in 1975, Sue and Ron made their home in Northern Nevada. At Sue's request, there will be no services. Her cremains will be interred at the Yerington cemetery.
