Mr. Martin was born in Horry County, SC, the son of the late Dock Robert Martin and Minnie Hardwick Martin. He was a very active member and Deacon of North Conway Baptist Church. Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Gideon's International. After retiring from A & P as Market Manager he worked part-time at Laurie's IGA in Conway. He loved to fish and garden.
Mr. Martin was predeceased by a sister, Mary Alma James and a brother, John Hardwick.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday at North Conway Baptist Church with Dr. Jeffrey L. Gaskins and Rev. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
