Elaine Claire Kirby age 68, joined her Heavenly family at 1pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born on January 26, 1947 in Skaneateles, NY and spent her childhood in Montgomery, AL and Maryville, TN. Elaine married and raised a family in Knoxville, TN. She worked as a medical transcriptionist at Blount Memorial Hospital for over 20 years and was an active member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden. Elaine was known for her compassion, her strength of character, her love for family and her many close friends, and her unshakeable faith in God. She enjoyed gardening, travel, her beloved pets, and she excelled at listening to both friends and strangers. She had an ability to find the substance in a conversation and to draw others towards greater wisdom. Elaine is preceded in death by her father and mother, Russell Grover Sincerbox and Muriel Day Sincerbox-Davis, and her step-father Alfred Davis.
The family will be receiving friends at Central Baptist Bearden on Sunday, October 4, from 2pm to 4pm with a memorial service to follow at 4pm. Internment on Monday will include family and close friends.
