NEW OXFORD Mae E. (Irvin) Robinson LeGore, 94, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of the late John A. Robinson, her husband of 43 years, who died November 30, 1989, and the late Richard H. LeGore, Jr., her husband of 12 years, who died May 9, 2003. Mae was born May 5, 1921, in Orrtanna, the daughter of the late William F. and Emma A. (Hall) Irvin.
Mae was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in New Oxford, where she was also a member of the Marion Oxfordites, and a 1939 graduate of Arendtsville Vocational High School. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but retired from the Conewago Valley School District cafeteria. She was also a member of N.A.R.F.E. and a life member of the Hanover V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Mae is survived by four daughters, Carolyn R. Geiger of Lancaster, Patricia A. Hancock of Langhorne, Marie S. Daley and her husband Dwight of Littlestown, and Maryann E. Robinson of Lancaster; five sons, Robert J. Robinson and his wife Shirley of East Berlin, Edward J. Robinson and his wife Jeannie of Hanover, Thomas P. Robinson and his wife Sharon of Abbottstown, Michael F. Robinson and his wife Deborah of New Oxford, and Vincent W. Robinson and his spouse Ashua Bolton of Bowling Green, Ky.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Marie E. Lahr of York. She was predeceased by three brothers, Francis, Patrick and Paul Irvin.
Following a Mass of Christian Burialat Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St., New Oxford, with the Rev. Michael Letteer officiating, burial will be in the church cemetery.
