Bill was born December 29, 1919 in Bessmay, Texas to Richard and Mamie Voight.
He was a lifelong area resident and he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1939, and also graduated from Lamar in 1949 with an Engineering degree, and in 1951 from the University of Houston with a B.S. degree. Bill retired from Gulf Oil as a chemical engineer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and proudly served during World War II. He was a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church in Port Arthur where he served as a deacon and was also a member of The Gideons International, and was an Eagle Scout.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Gloria Voight; two sons, Ricky Voight and Randy Voight.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Voight; sister-in-law, Mary Voight; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial: Antioch Cemetery, Buna, Texas
