GARY LEE THORNTON, 66, Died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Born in Amory, MS to the Late Dorothy Lantz and James Thomas Thornton.

Gary was a Supervisor at the Marshall County Correctional Center.

He was a Deacon at the Thyatira Church of Christ; and Enjoyed Bird Watching and Fishing.

Gary Served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Thornton is Survived by his Wife, Rhoda Thornton of Waterford, MS; a Daughter, Amy Lynn Bell of Mount Pleasant, MS; Two Sons, Derek Thornton and Wife, Rebecca, of Byhalia, MS; and Micah Thornton and Wife, Glenna, of Knob Noster, MO; a Sister, Lori Thornton of Morristown, TN; a Brother, James Thomas Thornton, III of Iuka, MS; and Twelve Grandchildren.
