A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at River Road Baptist Church in Eugene for Betty Kinports of Eugene, who died April 21 of breast cancer. She was 79.
She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Minneapolis to Harry and Edith Morrison Blair. She married Ken Kinports on Nov. 5, 1960, in Reno, Nev. He died in 2004.
She earned an associates degree in business at the University of Oregon in 1959. She worked at McKesson-Robins, a pharmaceutical company, and was a secretary with the Lane County sheriffs office.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Turner of Eugene, and Janice Lane of Springfield; four sons, Mike Kinports, Jay Buell, Rick Kinports and Kenny Kinports, all of Eugene; two brothers, Fred Blair of Hillsboro, and Don Blair of Milton-Freewater; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Diane Buell, died in 1998.
