Rachel C. Cole, age 80 of Bowdon, passed away Thursday, October 01, 2015. She was born February 18, 1935 in Carroll County, to the late Robert M. Thomas and Tessie F. Hewitt Thomas. She was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Magdalene Tuggle and Joyce Norton. Survivors include her son, Larry and Judy Price of Sharpsburg, GA, and daughter, Donna and Ron Grance of Bowdon, GA; two sisters, Mattie Hutcheson of Bremen, and Autry and Gene Brock of Summerville, GA; two brothers, Robert Thomas of Acworth, and William Thomas of Phenix City, AL; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 03, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Pleasant Grove Church with Rev. Gary Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jason Grance, Donnie Grance, Cameron Grance, Shane Brock, Brad Ashley, and Larry Price. Her son-in-law, Ron Grance will serve as an honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org .
