Funeral services celebrating the life of Edgar “Eddie Boy” Kilpatrick will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015 at Open Door Community Church, Deville with Reverend Stephen Scull officiating. Burial will be in Martha’s Chapel Free Methodist Church Cemetery, Deville under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with military honors.

The family requests that visitation be observed at the Church Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Kilpatrick, 72, of Deville, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Kilpatrick was a United States Army veteran. He was a boat racer, avid hunter, fisherman and all around outdoor sportsman. Working on motorcycles and riding his Harley was something he enjoyed very much. Mr. Kilpatrick worked very hard to provide for his family and was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a great love for life and will be missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Grey Kilpatrick, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kay Swims Kilpatrick; mother, Norma Ryder Kilpatrick; daughters, Sarah Arceneaux and husband, Dwight, Anna Kilpatrick and Rachel Breaud and husband, David; brother, Tommy Kilpatrick; sisters, Norma Jean Cayer and Linda Sue Stafford and husband, Terry; grandchildren, Gabriel Joseph Arceneaux, Noah Michael Arceneaux and Elah Danielle Arceneaux; a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Mabou, Alton Belgard, Kenneth Slay, Bruce Dyer, Tony Tam and Tracey Tam.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Wiggins, Ralph Wiggins, J.A. Tam, Kolin Belgard and Robert Dyer.
