Clair Bushorr Marcil, 70, 1530 Indiana Ave., died Friday at 9:28 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of post operative complications. Mr. Marcil had been ill two months.

Born March 15, 1879, at Indian Ford, Wis., he was a son of Alexis and Lucena Bushorr Marcil. After spending his early years in Leadville, Colorado, he attended Salt Lake City Schools.

Mr. Marcil went to the Klondike in 1904 where he prospected and mined for several years. He later moved to Yukon Territory.

He was employed as a navigation engineer by the White Pass Navigation Co., working for the Alaskan firm each summer and spending his winters in Salt Lake City.

An active ember in Masonic circles, he belonged to White Horse Lodge, No. 46, F and A M: Klondike chapter No. 154, Royal Arch Masons, at Dawson, Alaska, and Radiant chapter, No. 12, Order of Eastern Star, in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ena M. Senior and Mrs. Fannye M. Guthrie, Salt Lake City.
