Mrs. Delores Virginia Parrish, aged 58, of Macclenny, FL died September 27, 2015 in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, FL following a long illness.

Delores was the daughter of the late Floyd and Odee Sellers Hawthorne and was a native of Okeechobee, FL. She had resided in Macclenny, FL for the past 40 years.

Delores worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for many years and was also a Pharmacy Technician with the River Garden Hebrew Nursing Home in Jacksonville, FL for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, FL and enjoyed going to the beach, games, fishing and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David P. Parrish of Macclenny, FL. Her daughter, Chasity Virginia (Charles) Shepard of Lake Butler, FL; her son, David Wayne (Stacey) Parrish of Sanderson, FL and three grandchildren, Caitlyn Parrish, Tyler Parrish and Shelby Farley as well as her two brothers, James Hawthorne of The Villages, FL and Bobby Hawthorne of Okeechobee, FL.

Arrangements handled by the Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, FL. Funeral services to honor her life were conducted in the Christian Fellowship Temple with Rev. David Thomas and Rev. Tim Thomas officiating. Graveside services at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
