OBITUARY
Riley B Thomas, son of Daniel M. and Mary Thomas, was born in Highland county, Ohio, Jan. 15, 1848, and departed this life May 31, 1920, making him 72 years, 4 months and 16 days of age. With his parents he came to this county when 3 years old, and here he spent most of his life. He was married to Tobitha J Ellis June 13, 1869. To this union 11 children were born, 9 sons and 2 daughters, viz: William Butler, Jesse N, Riley W, Robert A, Lee, Grover C, Albert H, Willis E, Vance W, Mary E Godown, and Jennie B. All are living except William B. He also leaves his wife, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one brother, John; one sister, Harriett Chaplin, and many other relatives and friends.
He was a sufferer of neuritis for nearly a year, and also had two strokes of paralysis, which caused his death.
Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o'clock June 1, by Rev W H Jones of Milton. The body was laid to rest in Bethel cemetery.
