Ruby Ann Davis Fisher, 62, of Salem passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Genesis Health Center, Salem Center, with family by her side.
She was born June 8, 1953, in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Rancel and Glenna M Ford Davis. Ruby was an insurance agent for over 20 years at Dorsey Ash Insurance in Clarksburg, which later became Linger and Associates. She is survived by her daughter, Erin Lane and husband Harley F Lane III, Salem; one grandson, Brody M Lane at home; one brother, George A Davis and wife, Karen, Salem; one sister, Janet L Gibson, Lebanon, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, David Williams Fisher, on June 15, 2011. Ruby graduated from Doddridge County High School, Class of 1971. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and the Orpha Chapter No. 30 Salem, now Queen Esther No. 11, Order of the Eastern Star. Ruby’s world revolved around her grandson, Brody, and he was the apple of her eyes.
Family will receive friends at Greathouse Funeral Home, 1999 W. Main St, Salem, Tuesday, September 29, 2015, from 3-8 p.m. with a service by Queen Esther No. 11, Order of Eastern Star at 7:30 p.m.; funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Center Point Christian Church Cemetery.
