Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Barber, age 72 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 5:14 AM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. A native of Indianapolis, IN. she was the daughter of the late Oscar Allen Denham and the late Jennie Bell Yokley Denham. She was the wife of the late Billy Joe Barber. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Lynn Barber and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters Teresa Diane Houchens(Jeff) of Glasgow, KY. and Billie Jean "Jeannie" Waid (Mark) of Franklin, KY., 2 sisters Gladys Kendall and Virginia Gregory both of Franklin, KY., 4 grandchildren Brenda Logan, Jason and Johnathan Graves and Dusty Waid, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Mrs. Barber was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and had worked at Potter & Brumfield and retired from Oskosh.
