Mrs. Edith Harris Page, 77, a resident of Lexington (Silver Valley Community) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Edith was born May 26, 1938 in Davidson County to the late Fred T. Harris and Blanche Dorsett Harris and had made this area her home all of her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Harris.

She graduated from Davis Townsend High School and attended DCCC and Ashemore Business College. Edith was the secretary and owner of Apogee Designs Marketing Specialist (Advertising) and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Edith enjoyed growing flowers and had a passion for taking care of all wildlife including wild and domestic animals. The Page family would like to say a special thank you to Mountain Vista, Piedmont Crossing, High Point Regional Health System and Hinkle Hospice House for their loving care for Edith during her illness.

Surviving is her son, Gary McDowell and his wife Joann of Thomasville; grandson, Dustin McDowell and his wife Ashley of High Point; brothers, Liston Harris and his wife Ada and Barney Harris and his wife Phyllis all of Thomasville; and her feline companion Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 2, 2015 at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Arnold Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
