Carl M. Buchanan, 84, of Wadesville, Indiana, born to Melvin and Margaret (Fischer) Buchanan on August 16, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Deaconess Hospice Care in Evansville, Indiana.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1949 and was a school bus driver for North Posey. He retired from Schnucks Supermarket and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 565, Robinson Township Conservation Club and the Funkhouser American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years: Eleanor (Frielinghausen) Buchanan; 1 son: ; 4 daughterss; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant daughter: Mary Ann Buchanan and 2 brothers: George and John Buchanan.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, Indiana with burial in the St. Mathews Catholic Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Father Ed Schnur officiating.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with a Rosary/Memorial service at starting at 3 p.m.
