MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Jacqueline "Jackie" Johnson, age 83, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Johnson was born in Lexington, NC to Gaston Pritchard and Martha Hunter White. She resided in many of the U.S. States while growing up, as her father was in the water filter business. She graduated from Ramsey High School in Birmingham, AL and later graduated from Mars Hill College. She was a talented artist, as her art has graced the homes of many of her friends and family. She lived for over 40 years in Winston-Salem, NC before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Women at Ardmore Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Graham Johnson; a brother, Pete White of Boise, ID; a daughter, Anne Hartis (husband, Bill) of Georgetown, SC; sons, David (wife, Jane) of Cary, NC, Jeff (wife, Karen) of Chapel Hill, NC and Gary Johnson of Orlando, FL.; four granddaughters; Kristen Carter (husband, Rob) of Georgetown and Jessica, Cathy and Laura Johnson of Chapel Hill. She is also survived by her great-grandson, Nixon Graham Carter of Georgetown. She was a loving wife and mother and a true lady. She will be forever missed. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
