A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley for Steven Sellers, 70, of Imperial who passed away September 17, 2015. Pastor Elizabeth Crews of Westmorland Community Presbyterian Church will officiate the service.
He was born February 7, 1945 in San Diego, CA. Steve graduated from El Capitan High School in 1963.
He was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1964-1968, where he served one tour of duty in Vietnam.
Steve worked in various construction jobs his entire life, but his true talent was drywall taper. He had been semi retired since 2009. Steve loved his dogs, working in his yard and helping others, especially those in his church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Connie Sellers; and mother, Eva Sellers.
Steven is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Cathy Sellers Jr. of Imperial; daughters and sons-in-law, Cris and Greg Booth of Spring Valley, Cari and Richard Augusta of Brawley; father Philex Sellers of Traver, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ed Mangini of Massachusettes; brother and sister-in-law Keith and Judy Sellers of Traver, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Bonnie Tackett of Paso Robles, CA; girlfriend, Opal Conaway of El Centro; grandchildren, Amanda Sellers, Bryce Sellers-Booth, Gabe Booth, Zach Booth, Cash Rose, and Cheyenne Taylor; his little buddy Andrew Erickson; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
