Eula Eileen Butler, 84, of Maumelle, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006. She was born in Vandalia, Illinois on October 2, 1921, to Jesse Hill and Bertha Hicks Hill. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Maumelle. Eula married Creighton Frederick Butler, a 14-year submarine veteran of World War II and Korea, on March 13, 1948, in Taylorville, Illinois. She traveled and moved all over the world with her husband, who was in the Navy for 26 years. She lived in Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and resided in Memphis, Tennessee, where Creighton retired. She worked in Los Angeles, California as a stenographer for Union Pacific Railroad and a model of furs. Eula loved her friends and she also enjoyed her church activities, flea marketing, and spending time with family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and one brother, Dean Hill. She leaves to cherish one son, Clark (Suzanne) Butler of Bartlett, Tennessee, and one daughter, Donna (Towny) Commer, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis, of Bryant, Candice Butler McCrumb, of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jordan Syke Davis, of Maumelle, and five great grandchildren, Jori, Jace, Josh, Alora, and Aiden.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, 2006 at First Christian Church of Maumelle, 4001 Club Manor Drive, Maumelle, Arkansas (501) 851-8423, and interment at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2006, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501 224-8300.
