Cornelius Rankin Hall, 96, of Callahan FL went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2015.Cornelius was born on October 14, 1918 in Palatka FL to George and Mellisa Hall.
He was a Baptist by faith. He proudly served his country in the US Army as a medic during WWII with the rank of Sgt. In the Normandy Invasion. He worked at the FL State Road Dept., the Jacksonville shipyard and retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad. He was very proud to be an American!
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years; Mildred Villeneuve Hall, children; Harry (Linda) Hall, Raymond (Pat) Hall, Charlene (Mitch) Allred, Kathy (Tony) Titra, Gordon (Connie) Hall, Betty (Richard) Lord, and Diane (Paul) West, and he was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son; Charles Buddy Hall.
Services will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Friday October 2, 2015 at 2:30 PM. Arrangements under the direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US Highway 1, Callahan, FL.
