Susan was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Bend, Ore., to Paul Hager and Jo Carter. She was raised in Cortez and graduated from Durango High School.
Susan married Richard Neal and they had two children, Joe Neal and Kymber Neal-Jenkins. The family moved from Colorado to Idaho, where they made their home in Boise.
Susan dedicated nearly 20 years to her career at Micron Technology, where she loved what she did and touched the lives of many of her co-workers. She was involved in CPR training and much volunteer work. Among the many highlights in Susan's life was when she was chosen by the state of Utah to carry the Olympic torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Susan is survived by her mother, Jo Carter; her father, Paul Hager, of Cortez; brothers: Rodger Hager of Middleton, Idaho, and Sam Hager of Cortez; sisters: Sheila Porter of Nampa, Idaho, and Paula Ibos of Bentonville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
