John Barney,
86. of Mayfield, a retired
glove worker, died yesterday
morning at the Highland nursing
home where he was a patient 10
days.
Born in Batchellerville, he resided
in Mayfield most of his life.
He retired from the Wilkins
Glove Co. of Mayfield about 10
years ago.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nellie
Barney; three sisters, Mrs.
Mary Elphee of Mayfield, Mrs.
Benjamin McGregor of Sacandaga
Park and Mrs. William Brown of
Gloversville; also nieces and
nephews.
Services will be conducted at
3 p.m. tomorrow a t the Hollenbeck
funeral home. Rev. Kenneth
Wait of the Mayfield Methodist
Church will officiate. Interment
will be in the Mayfield cemetery
