She is survived by a son, Ronald Nelson and his wife Carolyn of Gridley; a grandson Russell Nelson of Danville, CA and a granddaughter Lynda Conner of Arcadia, CA; a niece Erlene Janes of Nevada City, CA. and her three children and niece Cindy Turner of Wendover, NV; and six great grandchildren. Maggie was a hard working woman who loved people, enjoyed life and had a fondness for nature and animals. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked in the food service industry much of her life. She enjoyed working in her yard and voluntarily caring for her neighbor's dog and cats. A good day for her involved going to town shopping, while being accompanied by the neighbor's dog. Both enjoyed the outing! She was an avid San Francisco Giants fan never missing a televised game.
A memorial service in Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Gridley Presbyterian Church. A reception at the social hall of the church will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a local SPCA of your choice.
A private interment at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery will follow at a later date.
