Rose M. Kent, 84, of Watseka, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born on April 9, 1931 in Newman, IL, the daughter of John Pate and Audrey (Flynn) Pate. Mrs. Kent worked at Uarco for 20 years and was also a school cook. She enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and babysitting. Surviving Mrs. Rose Kent is one son, John Kent of Woodland; three daughters and son-in-laws, Judy and Rick Ziebart of Harpers Ferry, WV, Peggy and Joe Jaskula of Milford, and Penny Hasselbring of Watseka; one brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Gertrude Pate of Hoopeston; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Dale Livingston of Hoopeston; thirteen grandchildren, Julie Feller, Tracy Heitmann, Kevin Ziebart, Ricci Dews, Nina Surber, Georgia Woodby, Stephanie White, Joe Jaskula, Eric Jaskula, Adam Jaskula, Rachael Jaskula, Kurtis Hasselbring, and Karlie Brown; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Donald Pate and John Pate; and one grandson, Matthew Ziebart. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 4-7pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:00 am, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A one hour visitation will be held prior to services. Pastor Joseph Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL. Memorials in Mrs. Kent's name can be made to the local area food pantry.
