Stroudsburg - James V. Ace, 43, died Saturday in his home at 1127 W. Main St., Stroudsburg. Born in Passiac, N.J., he was the son of Samuel Ace and the late Mary McGann Ace.
He had been employed by Pocono Ridge Builders and had lived in Stroudsburg for the past 17 years.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of George N. Kemp Post 346, The American Legion, East Stroudsburg, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1336, East Stroudsburg.
In addition to his father, is was survived by his widow, Mrs. Nancy Strunk Ace, at home; four daughters, Carol, Mary, and Nancy Ace, all at home, and Miss Thelma VanWhy, also at home, and a son, James Ace, at home.
Also four sisters: Mrs. Helen Novack of Passiac, N.J.; Mrs. Mary Quinn of Stroudsburg; Mrs. Henrietta Radacovski, Clifton, N.J.; and Mrs. Gay Schidt, Malwah, N.J.
Also three brothers, Joe Ace of Stroudsburg; Fred Ace of Clifton, N.J.; and John Ace of Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Services were held Tuesday (Sept. 23) in Lauterman Funeral Home.
Burial in Sand Hill Cemetery, Bushkill.
