Jean Henderson, 75, of Odessa died early Thursday at Home Hospice House.
Jean was born in Elbert, Texas on August 15, 1930 to Earnest and Leah Orr-Condron.
She was reared and educated in Post, Texas. Jean met Don C. Henderson in Eunice, New Mexico and they were married on September 30, 1955 in Lovington, New Mexico. Eunice was their home until 1961 when they moved to Odessa. Mrs. Henderson worked at Stop & Shop on West University and later as a rural mail carrier, she retired in 1986.
She was a member of University Heights Baptist Church. Jean is preceded in death by two sons; Tommy and Kenny Bost, 3 brothers and 6 sisters and her parents.
Survivors include her husband Don C. Henderson and her daughter Donna Henderson of Odessa. Granddaughters; Teena Martel and her husband Damien, Kathy Hughes and her husband Lloyd of Odessa. Kristal Woods and her husband Cogo of Midland. Her great-grandchildren; Sydney, Dalton, Tyler, Thomas, and Brayden. Many nieces and nephews.
Donations to Home Hospice House; 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, Texas 79761; or to one's choice.
Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2006 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cecil Maxey of University Heights Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
