BIG POOL, Md. Beverly Carol Lyons, 66, of 13306 Indian Springs Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at Reeder's Nursing Home in Boonsboro.

Born Jan. 10, 1941, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Ella Marie Kemp Long and Frederick Granville Long.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Green Valley in Monrovia, Md. She was a 1959 graduate of North Western High School in Prince Georges County, Md.

She is survived by her husband, James Joseph Lyons Jr. of Big Pool; one son, James J. Lyons III of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; one sister, Patricia Housman of Lusby, Md.; one brother, Frederick G. Long Jr. of Ijamsville, Md.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim M. Milbourne.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Green Valley, 11402 Ridge Lane, Monrovia, Md. The Rev. Mike Yoho will officiate. Burial will be at Little Rose Hill Cemetery of Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring.
