NIZAR HAFFORD
MASARDIS -- Nizar Hafford,
82, died April 23, 1979, at
Presque Isle hospital. He was
born in Dickey, Maine, Dec 18,
1896, the son of Daniel and
Mary Jane (Pelletier) Hafford.
He was a World War I veteran,
member of the Senior Citizens
in Ashland, and a former
member of the Pomona Grange
in Oxbow. He is survived by his
wife, Ida-Mae (Hafford) Hafford
of Masardis; one sone, Frederick
of Casco; three daughters, Mrs.
Harvey (Minnie) Smith of Mars
Hill, Mrs. Thomas (Matilda) Moir
Sr., of Caribou, Mrs. Monroe
(Annie) Robinson of Millinocket;
one sister, Mrs. Belle McBreairty
of Allagash; two half-brothers,
Cyrus of Hudson, Mass., Harry
of Mars Hill; three half-sisters,
Mrs Mandy Alley of Connec-
ticut, Mrs. Minnie McLellan of
Connecticut, Mrs. Merlene
Thibodeau of Caribou; 24
grandchildren and 38 great-
grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
at Stimson Funeral Home in
Ashland, with the Rev. Donald
Morton officiating. Burial will
be in the spring in the Masardis
Cemetery. Friends and relatives
may call at the Stimson Funeral
Home, Ashland, Wednesday 7
to 9 p.m.; Thursday 1 p.m. until
time of services
