LaShonda Dawanna Smith was born September 23, 1982 to Ada Mae Smith and the late Rev. James D. Smith.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church. She received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Calhoun Community College. She was attending Athens State University and scheduled to graduate this fall with a Bachelors in Business minor in Human Resources.

She was preceded in death by her Two Baby Boys: Breion Weakley and Karieem Robinson, Jr. Two Brothers: Michael Smith and James Smith. One Sister: Marcia Smith. One Grandmother: Amanda"Big Ma" Thatch. One Grandfather: Johnny Thatch.

She leaves to cherish her memories A Daughter: Siyana Smith. A Mother: Ada Smith. Eight Sisters: Aldeone(Robert) Whitelow, Christine(J.B) Kinney, Evelyn Robinson, Vernice(Marcus) Jones, Deborah Nelson, Angela Nelson, Veronica(Marcus) Wilson and Yolanda Smith. Four Brothers: John Nelson, George Smith, Terrance(Terri) Smith and Anthony Smith. A Special Friend: Lanette Brown. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Under the Directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1:00pm at St. Stephens Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph Marshall, officiating. Burial in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will be in church 1 hr. before the services.

There are those whose lives death cannot diminish. Their love radiates forever in the hearts of family and friends. We felt the love in your thoughtfulness. Thank you so very much. the Family of LaShonda D. Smith.

Huntsville--Funeral service for LaShonda DaWanna Smith, 32, who died September 22, 2015, will be Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens Primitive Baptist Church with burial in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will be in the church one hour before the services. Public viewing is today from 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday 9 to 11 a.m. at funeral home.
