George S. Burridge, 77, of Libertyville, IL passed away Monday, December 20, 1999 at the Libertyville Manor.

He was born August 24, 1922 in Libertyville and was a 1940 graduate of Libertyville High School. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in japan following World War II and was a Landscape Architect and a graduate of the University of Illinois. He was a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, was a founder and senior partner of Burridge Associates and owner of Fairholm Gardens Nursery in Libertyville.

Surviving are his wife Marge (nee Opitz) Burridge of Libertyville; 2 daughters, Jean Burridge of Urbana, IL and Ruth (William) Burridge Lindermann of Champaign; 1 son, Robert Patterson of Madison, WI; 3 grandchildren, Sierra, Robin and Geordie and his sister Margaret (Howard) McBride of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanie Burridge and by a daughter, Katherine Patterson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 23 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rte. 176) Libertyville. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions can be made to Cook Memorial Library in his memory.
