Patty Z. Scott Barber, age 88, a resident of Irving for the past 29 years, formerly of Dallas, died Friday at her home after a brief illness. Born January 27, 1927 in Brice, Texas, she was the daughter of Jefferson Zachary Aduddell and Elizabeth Adeline Dale Aduddell. She was a homemaker, member of the Irving Heritage Center, The Red Hat Club, First Baptist Church, and a former member of St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by husband Leroy Scott and Walter J. Barber, Jr., she is survived by her children, Sandy Larrison and husband William of Plano, John Scott of Lubbock, Judy Smith and husband Mike of Wilmette, Illinois, Beverly Collette and husband Stephen of Dallas, Sandra Erickson and husband Mark of Raleigh, North Carolina, Robert Barber and wife Trish of Alto, New Mexico, and Michael Barber and wife Debbie of Grapevine; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jo and Martha; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Swaim. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church Irving, 403 S. Main Street, Irving, Texas. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
