Frank Monfort Riley, 93, of Butler, GA, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Butler United Methodist Church with Rev. Lance Kindred officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Memorial Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday between the hours of 6 and 8 pm.

He was born May 8, 1922 in Butler to the late Harley and Olivia Monfort Riley of Butler. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1943 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture He was a veteran and Second Lieutenant of the U.S. Air Corp serving as a pilot of the B-17. He was a member of Butler Methodist Church, serving as the church Lay Leader, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the adult choir. He retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a District Supervisor in the Consumer Protection Division.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harley Riley, Jr., and his sister, Pansy Riley Wall.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Brown Riley; four children and their spouses, Frank and Linda Riley of Hiawassee, Lamar and Sissy Martin of Tifton, Mike and Judy Bland of Tifton and Bill and JoAnne Riley of Butler. Grandchildren include Jason Riley of Moultrie, Brad Riley of Reynolds, Matthew Martin of Athens, Beth Oleson of LaGrange, Elizabeth Martin of Peachtree City, Kim Byne of Duluth, Laura Bland of Tifton, Erik Riley of Butler and Adam Riley of Butler; brother in law, Bill Brown of Athens; niece, Patsy Parker of Auburn, AL and nephew, Buddy Wall of Opelika, AL. Great grandchildren include Mitchell, David and Alaina Riley and Anna Claire Oleson.

Pallbearers include Jason Riley, Brad Riley, Matthew Martin, Buddy Wall, Erik Riley and Adam Riley. Honorary pallbearers include James Alsobrook, Willie Character, Eddie Gray and members of the Butler United Methodist Church Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.
