Elgin Armin Albrecht went to be with his Lord on September 25, 2015 at the age of 99. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 14, 1915. Elgin was preceded in death by his wife Anona Albrecht; parents, Hugo and Antonio Albrecht; brother, Ervin, Milton and Clarence Albrecht; sister, Helen Gleitz; son-in-law, Alvin Shodrok; granddaughter, Jennifer Edler ; great-grandson, Jeremy Walleck. He is survived by his sons, Alfred (Jeanette), Charles ( Kaye), Dennis (Vivian), Reginald (Patti); daughters, Antonette Walleck (Tommy), Elizabeth Hajdik (Norman), Loretta Bolt (Don), Dorothy Jaksik (Raymond), Christine Shodrok; sister, Frances Mayer; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. “Opa” as he was lovingly called by family, loved to garden, hunt and fish. He will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Ritter officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery
