Robin L. Starr-Mitchell a resident of Taunton, formerly of Middleboro passed away on the afternoon of September 4, 2015 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. Mrs. Mitchell was 58 years old. Robin was the loving wife of James Mitchell, whom with she was about to celebrate 25 years of marriage on October 6th. She is survived by her 3 loving daughters; Brittany Starr-Mitchell, Bridgette Starr-Mitchell and Kathy Starr-Mitchell all of Taunton. Robin leaves behind her kitties and a dog who she loved with all of her heart. She is survived by a sister Gail Scott of Hopkinton and was the sister of the late John Starr, Jr.
Robin was born on February 6, 1957 in Middleboro and was the daughter of the late John and Louise Starr. She was very accomplished in the nursing field and earned her degree from Bridgewater State College. Robin and James married on October 6, 1990 and moved to Taunton in 1992. Her finest work was as a homemaker and as the greatest mom in the world to her 3 daughters, as she never missed an event that any of her daughters had. Mrs. Mitchell’s love and fire for her family blazed brightest in its greatest time of need, as she helped her daughter Bridgette beat cancer and stood by her husband through his health battles.

She loved to cook and she was fantastic at it! Some of the things that brought Robin joy were attending flea-markets, yard sales and antiquing. Her love of antiquing made her a huge fan of many antique shows that you see on Discovery Channel and History Channel. Robin also enjoyed the music of Barbara Streisand and Bette Midler. She will be forever loved and missed by each life that she touched.

Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday September 8th from 6-8pm at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St/Route 140) Taunton. A private graveside service will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River. Online Condolences may be made at www.tauntonfuneral.com
