Born Aug 9, 1932 in Laurel County, KY, he was the son of the late James Riley Slusher, Sr. and Leota Hoskins Slusher. Mr. Slusher retired from the Quality Control Dept. of IBM and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife include two sons, Bruce Wayne (Vicki) Slusher, Land O' Lakes, FL and James Melvin Slusher, Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Craig Riley (Amy) Slusher and Courtney Lyn (David) Wildeboer; six great grandchildren, Hunter Riley Slusher, Austin Reed Slusher, Brayden Reece Slusher, Levi Ryan Slusher, Hadley Grace Wildeboer, and Beckett Matthew Wildeboer, a sister, Jean Farris, London, KY; a sister-in-law, Eunice Slusher, Williamsburg, KY; special friends of 56 years, Grace and her predeceased husband Bob Cox and family; and many other family members who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Lenos, and Glenn Slusher; and three sisters, Gladys Wilder, Bernice Hammons, and Dessie Watkins.
Funeral services will be held 10:30am Thu at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Greg McClellan. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wed at the funeral home.
