Frances I. Hancock, 89, formerly of Frankfort, and a resident at the Masonic Care Community, passed away on September 25, 2015. Frances was born in Utica, NY, on January 15, 1926, the daughter of Daniel J. and Mary E. (Carney) Harrigan. She was raised and educated in Utica, graduating from Proctor High School and the Utica School of Commerce. In 1946, at St. Agnes Church, Utica, Frances was married to Richard F. Hancock. Mr. Hancock died in 2005. Until her retirement in1988, Frances was employed as a bookkeeper with the Utica Credit Bureau. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. Frances is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; two sons and a daughter-in-law; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances was predeceased by two sisters, Shiela McDaniels and Mary Naumanauf; three brothers, Bernard, Charles and William Harrigan; two sisters-in-law, Marion Chwalek and Mary Harrigan; and a son-in-law, Tony Cognetto...
