Barbara Eugene Kuenstler, 82, of Baytown, Texas peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Baytown, TX.

Barbara was born in Loraine TX on April 26, 1933. She was the youngest of 11 children. Barbara graduated from high school in Mineola TX in 1950. She moved to Pasadena TX in 1951 when she went to work for Armco Steel in their safety department. In 1952 she met the love of her life William Carlton "Bill" Kuenstler while he was home on leave from the US Navy. They married on August 14, 1954 and spent the next 61 wonderful years in love while nurturing friendships, raising their family and demonstrating their commitment to their Lord Jesus Christ. After leaving Armco Barbara was a stay at home Mom until her girls Carla and Cheryl were in junior high school when she went to work for the Channelview Independent School District in the Administration Office. Her 26 years at CISD were very rewarding to her because of the people she was able to help and the many friendships she developed. Barbara was proud of the fact that she was a member of the Channelview Church of Christ for 47 years before she and William moved to Baytown Texas in 2000 and became members of the East Side Church of Christ.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, L.G. and Arra Walker.

She is survived by her husband William Carlton "Bill" Kuenstler, sister Ruby Sanders, daughters, Carla Hoech and husband, Steve and Cheryl Garner and husband, Tim; grandchildren, Steve Hoech Jr. and wife, Courtney, Richard Hoech and wife, Rhonda, Cara Garner, Chase Hoech and wife, Kristen, and Clayton Garner; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Dakota, Trey, Colton, Bryce and Cooper Hoech as well as numerous family and friends.
