Crystal Matthews Blake 37, of 6924 Hassell Road, died Saturday September 26, 2015 at her home. She was born in Martin County June 23, 1978 to Janie Whitehurst Matthews and the late Gene Autry Matthews. Crystal was a CAN with Roanoke River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Funeral Services will be held Monday September 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Sonny Simpson. Burial will follow in the Oak City Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters; Valerie N. Batchelor of Grimesland, Abby G. Batchelor of Robersonville, Nora Jean Blake of Black Jack; son, Matthew B. Blake of Black Jack; mother Janie Whitehurst Matthews of Robersonville; sister, Wanda “Sissy” Stewart and husband Buddy of Tarboro; brother, William “Billy” Matthews of Robersonville; nieces, Heather Stewart and Ashley Matthews; nephews Eugene and Haywood Matthews; grandchildren Elania Lloyd and Lilly Rose Batchelor.

The family will receive friends Sunday September 29th at Walker Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM and from her home at other times.
