TUSCALOOSA | Peggy Jean Brazell Snyder, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, died September 15, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Gary Bonner officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with the funeral home directing. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Riley Snyder, Sr.; parents, Ernest and Velma Brazell; brothers, Billy, Harold and Henry Brazell.
Peggy was born in Columbia, S.C., and she worked for the phone company in the early years. She married the love of her life in 1952. Together they ran Snyder Lawn & Garden as well as raising five children.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
