Tim Tyler, 61, of McCordsville, IN, formerly of Aurora, IN, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Tuesday, August 10, 1954 in Batesville, Indiana to Betty Hilker Tyler and the late William Tyler.

Tim was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora, IN. He also attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, IN and Holy Spirit at Geist.
Tim's passion was sports. He was a physical education and health teacher in the South Dearborn School Corporation, retiring after over 35 years. He officiated basketball for youth athletics in the area and surrounding counties, and loved watching sporting events. He also spent many years coaching both basketball and tennis. However, time spent with family was most precious to him, and nothing made him happier than spoiling his little grandson, Parker. He will leave a great void in the community, as he had such a positive impact on the many lives he touched.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Connie Noel Tyler of McCordsville, IN; daughter, Mackenzie (Cody) Johnson of Fishers, IN; Son, Kyle Tyler of Lawrenceburg, IN; mother, Betty Tyler of Aurora, IN; siblings, Rindy Phillips of Lawrenceburg, IN, Randy(Jan) Tyler of Aurora, IN, Kim (late Gayle) Hamilton of Aurora, IN, Carol Bowling of Harrison OH, Janie (Dan) Fehr of Lawrenceburg, IN, Lori (Paul) Becker of Pocomoke, MD, Lisa Tyler of Aurora, IN, Brad (Kimberly) Tyler of Athens, GA, and Chad (Patty) Tyler of Dillsboro, IN; Grandson, Parker Avery Johnson; Many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Friends will be received 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at South Dearborn High School Gymnasium, 5770 Highlander Pl. Aurora, IN 47001.

Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 203 Fourth St., Aurora, IN., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:00 am with Father Stephen Donahue and Father Peter Gallagher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, IN.

Contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Assoc. of Gr. Cincinnati or the American Cancer Society. Please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
