Florence, 88, of St. Louis, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Florence was the youngest child of Harry and Zella (Smith) Plank.

She married Robert Hill on December 21, 1946. Florence was a member of the St. Louis United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She had participated in the Gratiot County Players and was an avid quilter. Florence made 100 quilts for Schnepp Nursing Home and was currently making her next 100 for the Salvation Army. She enjoyed sewing, travelling and camping.

Florence is survived by her five children Marsha (Dennis) Macha, Kandyce (John) Johnson, Jeff (Barb) Hill, Brian (friend Patty Hubbard) Hill, Mark Hill, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Heidi Mepham, four sisters Peg, Eloise, Dorlane, Jeannie and two brothers Doyle and Harrison.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the St. Louis United Methodist Church with Pastor Terri Bently officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
